Ann Blagden
Ann is a full time professional dancer and guest speaker, whose love of Asian and Middle Eastern music and dance was inspired living within a multi-cultural environment in London where she learnt and harnessed her craft since 1985.
She has been taught by acclaimed global dance teachers representing numerous disciplines – from Persian, and Egyptian, to Cabaret and Kathak (classical Indian). Ann favours classical Egyptian style and has studied with Hossam and Serena Ramzy. www.hossamramzy.com
Ann has acquired City & Guilds 7302 and CFET 7407 teaching qualification, is a member of Mosaic Arabic Dance Network, and is currently studying with JWAAD, a recognised Middle Eastern Dance authority in the UK and abroad. Ann is learning Arabic to enable her to interpret Middle Eastern song lyrics, to bring a new dimention to her dance. Her classes are kept small, enabling her to give quality time to each student to help them to develop their full potential.

Ann has been involved in working with the Bedouin of the Sinai desert, which has brought her closer to traditional values and culture through her work with the Makhad Trust. Egyptian Spirit have raised funds to sponsor 5 Bedouin gardens to enable the Bedouin to continue to live in their mountain homes. See: www.makhad.org
