Hen Party. Create a hen party to remember!

Hire a Belly Dancer to dance at your themed party or book a lesson to learn the coolest Belly Dance and Bollywood moves!

Belly Dance or Bollywood lesson
Its time to get the party started! learn some fun, sassy and sensual moves to get those hips shimmying and gyrating to the exotic sounds of Asia and the Middle East. Feel like a Bollywood star or an Arabian princess.

The lesson
Warm up- We will start with a warm up to help you relax to give you a chance to get to know each other and your dance teacher.
Party - The Hen will learn some useful wedding night moves with encouragement from the group, then you will all learn a fun routine to perform together for the finale (and maybe at the wedding party too?)
Cool down - To help you relax and stretch out
Goodies – After the cool down the “bride to be” gets a goody bag and the guests get a certificate to commemorate the event.

Style of dance
Belly Dance
You can chose from a range of music and dance styles, from funky Ariabian pop, traditional Egyptian folkloric, cheeky modern cabaret or even ABBA!! Slow and exotic or fast, cheeky and fun. Rock that Casbah!

Bollywood style
The dances encorproate a variety of Bollywood film, authentic classical hand gestures and traditional Bhangra moves from the Punjab. Learn moves to impress, and feel like a Bollywood star!

What to wear
You can wear whatever you feel comfortable in, or get in to the spirit of the party by dressing up in traditional costume. I can provide a jangly coin belt or a strategically positioned scarf to bring your character to life whether you are a Bollywood star or a belly dance babe?

Venue
Make the party as big or small as you wish, at a venue of your choice? Whether in your home, in a marquee in the back garden, a village hall, or at a smart hotel or restaurant? The choice is yours?

Hire a belly dancer
Restaurant work and Parties (No male only groups). You can hire a dancer to entertain your restaurant or party guests, and provide skilled, glamorous entertainment, for the whole family to enjoy. Our emphasis is on fun and audience participation, and we guarantee excellent and tasteful performances. Cost: £50 for 20 mins (Travel charges may apply depending on venue location)

Birthday Party or Girls Night In. This is a great way to celebrate that special occasion. Get together with a group of friends and learn either a Bollywood or Belly Dance routine, you can make it part of a themed evening by decorating your room and sharing traditional food. 
Cost: £60 per hour

Private lessons. People have private lessons for many reasons: They feel nervous about joining a class or they want to know a bit about belly dance beforehand. They want to perfect their skills in a certain area or learn a dance as a surprise for a friend or a fund raising event. I have even been asked to teach a dance as part of an art project.

£35 for 1 hour (there may be additional venue hire or travel costs)
Egyptian Spririt existing students £25 for an hour

Interactive School talks all ages. This is a wonderful way to bring history and culture to life through the medium of dance. We travel back in time and visit Egyptian goddesses then visit regions of Egypt and the Sinai desert experiencing the food, dance and day to day life in the City and desert. Older students can learn a choreography as part of an activity week. Cost depending on session

WI, Probus U3A, group talks and demonstrations on Belly Dance or Bedouin culture. The Art of Belly dance talk is; “colourful, beautiful, elegant, graceful, interesting, informative, tasteful and humorous. “The talk and demonstration is guaranteed to brighten your day”!” These are just some of the delightful comments I have received from happy listeners and participants from the WI, Probus and various groups I have spoken to over the past five years.

Encompassing topics like:

• Why do people belly dance?
• The history and origins of the dance
• Do men and belly dance?
• The highs and lows of performing in public
• History and demonstration using props and traditional musical instruments
• Have a go at a simple choreography or learn to shimmy.
• Demonstration and performances
• A day in the life of a Sinai Desert Bedouin

Run a WI dance workshop
As a result of my talks, I have been asked to run several successful dance workshops for the ladies of the WI over the past few years. They have learned an elegant veil dance, a cheeky and playful dance to an Arabic pop song and a Bollywood dance to Jai Ho from the film Slumdog millionaire. The dances can be adapted to suit all abilities.

Hire the troupe for stage shows and charity events: We have performed at a number of events in the past couple of years. Harvest suppers, Christmas shows, summer fetes and charity events. The dancers are skilled in a number of styles to add variety, interest and colour to the show. Please speak to Ann about costs for charity events.
