Ann is going to Luxor, to the Farha Festival with three students, Claire, Sue and Gwen. We will be dancing with some amazing teachers Eman Zaki, Dandesh, Kay Taylor, Sara farouk, Tracy Gibbs and Mohamad Kazafy. It will be a great privelage to dance to live music with the Farah Band. Thousands of spectators will be flocking to Gloucester Docks this Sunday for the Dragon Boat Regatta 2012 in aid of children’s cancer charity CLIC Sargent. Egyptian Spirit Belly Dance will be part of the days entertainment performing at 2pm. Come and enjoy the fun!

Learn a fun Bollywood dance in an hour. This workshop will teach you the basic hand positions and some funky Bhangra and Bollywood moves. We will be learning a dance to Jai Ho from Slumdog Millionaire (by the Pussycat Dolls). So if you want to Bollywood like the stars then this is for you! Open to complete beginners.

Ann Blagden’s love of Indian and Middle Eastern culture and dance began in London 18 years ago with Kathak lessons from the renowned teacher Guru Padmashri Pratap Pawar. Ann has been teaching Middle Eastern Dance at the Isbourne since 2005, but still likes to dust off the Bollywood bangles and put some Indian spice into her dancing.
